“Goldman’s symbolic visionary abstracts are fascinating and quite engaging. They call to mind simultaneous shapes and curves that emerge from fractal geometry, although looser than rigorous fractal patterning. It gives one a sense of connection to prior observation, but of work that is original, specific to the artist, and engaging in its originality.   The texture adds a rich and human dimension to the abstraction, and invokes a sense of physical depth that appeals to my sense of touch.  That the work stimulates a desire to touch enriches its meaning and its appeal.”

“Regarding his ‘RiseUP’ nudes, “The formal interplay between the edges of the nudes and the color planes that form the background draws my attention to the edges and vitalizes the negative space, establishing a balancing effect to their emotional intensity. Shifts in point of view lend interest to the series. Centering the images on the torso, moving the open-mouthed screaming heads partially off the edge of the canvas, lends force and energy to the images and raises important questions: What is being cut out? Why? Is the facial expression of one forced to the edge paralleled by the forcing of the image to the edge, or is another process at work? . . . . They’re truly engaging images.”
